Lesser Magistrate: The Website

I find this website on the Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate to be a good starting point to begin educating yourself on how to limit tyranny, in a Biblical manner.

Now, we don’t live in a God-honouring society: but the thing with God-hating cultures is that they invariably come a’cropper. Certainly, this culture we live in is proving to be no exception!

While the enemy weakens, we should go stronger: but far too many Christians are deeply attached to the Free Stuff Pharaoh fed them with.

And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes. — Numbers 11:4-6

Sure, there really is free food and medical care given to slaves: at least for a while. Any Russian (…or Venezuelan…) could tell you the same. But Christians are to remember the tyranny and the oppression and the murder that Pharaoh brings with his Free Stuff.

Before the current Empire falls, I trust that we would have understood and put to work the principles contained in How Superior Powers Ought to be Obeyed by Their Subjects: and Wherein They May Be Lawfully by God’s Word Disobeyed and Resisted (local download here.) It’s 81 pages of densely-argued material, with numerous Biblical quotations: but I believe that it’s good to know why you are talking about, before acting.
