Adoption as a Biblical Mandate

A good podcast from the Monstrous Regiment.

I do like the idea that the vast majority of Christian families should be open to adoption, as well as natural-born children. We are to care for the widows and the orphans… and every Christian believer is adopted into the family of God.

Moreover, our bonds within Christ is more important than bonds of blood. This truth should be lived, as well as believed.

The curse of depraved indifference.

God is looking for more than money from His saints—He is looking for the entirety of their lives to be spent on the weak and needy. It is estimated that there are over 153 million orphans worldwide—and how we treat the least of these is how we ultimately treat our God. Yet many of us suffer from a depraved indifference. In this short film, Eric Ludy declares that the solution is Jesus Christ but God wants to rescue the weak and helpless by using our lives. Are you willing for Jesus to use your hands and feet—to use your strength on behalf of the weak, needy, destitute, orphan, and widow around the world?
