What is Easy, What is Hard

First: yet another direct copy’n’paste from Gary North

A Politician Repents in Public. Is This a Miracle, or What?

We don’t see this in the news very often.

The president of Uganda has confessed the sins of their nation. Let’s hope heads of nations around the world imitate him.

Father God in heaven, today we stand here as Ugandans, to thank you for Uganda. We are proud that we are Ugandans and Africans. We thank you for all your goodness to us.

I stand here today to close the evil past and especially in the last 50 years of our national leadership history and at the threshold of a new dispensation in the life of this nation. I stand here on my own behalf and on behalf of my predecessors to repent. We ask for your forgiveness.

We confess these sins, which have greatly hampered our national cohesion and delayed our political, social and economic transformation.

We confess sins of idolatry and witchcraft which are rampant in our land. We confess sins of shedding innocent blood, sins of political hypocrisy, dishonesty, intrigue and betrayal.

[….]

I renounce all the evil foundations and covenants that were laid in idolatry and witchcraft. I renounce all the satanic influence on this nation. And I hereby covenant Uganda to you, to walk in your ways and experience all your blessings forever.

I pray for all these in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Next step: civil justice. That’s the hard part.

After reading North’s post above…

Let me be the first to say that I do not expect the leadership of the United States, any White (a.k.a. Secularist) Commonwealth nation, or any European nation to EVER publicly request forgiveness, on behalf of his nation, from the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Which is exactly the same as saying “I expect all of these nations to bear the weight of their own sins, now and in the future.”

Which is exactly the same as saying “I expect all of these nations to die, somewhere in the next few centuries, probably within the next two centuries.”

Summary: Power and Pride lead to the Grave.

“But supposing that you are wrong, that they do repent?”

“If they repent, God will forgive. Which is exactly why I am confident they will not repent. As history illustrates, they will rather choose death than admit that they are wrong.”

“But even Russia repented. Well, not publicly to God, but in their actions.”

“The curse on Russia has lessened… but has not been completely lifted. Not yet. And the West of 2019 is more hard-set in their evil than the Soviet Union of 1960.”

“Even America?”

“Even the United States. The jury is still out on America: there is reason for hope, assuming the level of repentance before God – by whites and by blacks, each for their own unique set of sins – continues to grow.”

“Here’s praying!”

“Public Prayer by the lawful head of the nation – in the name of Jesus Christ – is only a good start. There must be actual obedience and actual restitution, that people can see, in this world, before the deathwatch can be properly closed out. As North said, that’s the hard part… while most of the West will never even get past the easy part!”
