Who Gets to be the Subhuman Now?

From Uncommon Descent’s Now we talk of a “Neanderthal Renaissance”?

—<Quote Begins>—

It’s amazing what the Neanderthals have learned in the fifty years yer news writer has heard anything about them:

In 1863, the English biologist Thomas Henry Huxley claimed a striking similarity between Neanderthal brow ridges and the ‘lowering, threatening expression’ he perceived in the skulls of Aboriginal peoples – ignoring the clear difference in anatomical shape. The European intellectual elite were mostly blind to the possibility that Neanderthals were evidence of a common heritage for living people. Instead, they saw ‘scientific’ proof of the racist hierarchies that positioned non-Europeans as less evolved – although remaining puzzled that ‘savages’ nevertheless appeared to possess brains as big as those filling their own top hats. Up until the 1960s, scientists were still publishing theories of human evolution proposing that different races had budded off the human family tree sooner than others, with Caucasians the most recent arrivals, and therefore the least ‘primitive’…

These ideas have cast a long shadow over the study of Neanderthals.

Rebecca Wragg Sykes, “The Neanderthal renaissance” at Aeon (March 13, 2019 but recycled)

As noted earlier, in any Darwinian scheme, someone must be the subhuman. Otherwise, there is no beginning to human history. Who will get to play the subhuman next?

  • Premise One: Human history must begin.
  • Premise Two: The must be a subhuman — someone above the animals, but below Evolved Man.

The Old Days

Things were easy, back when Evolved Man = the leaders of science and technology and military power and demographic growth and ethics. That is, the White man.

So, right up to the end of World War II…

(With a serious ‘but temporary’ stumble in World War I — the “shot across the bow” which was really the bow being blown off. But the European Empires held, so the claim of European genetic superiority could still be maintained by the Progressives and the Best Scientific Minds of the Era. “Power justifies all things.”)

…everyone who mattered agreed that the White man was number one, because f his superior genetics, as evidenced by his superior accomplishments.

Things were easy, in the old days.

The New Days

Then came World War II, and its very ugly and very definitive conclusion.

The vision of European moral superiority was blown to smithereens.

The hard foundation of European wealth and demographics, already badly crippled by World War I, was crippled, broken, and on the way out. Fast.

Not by an invasion by the Dark and Dangerous Others.

Not by disease or an asteroid strike.

But by their own hand.

This would have been a great moment to admit error, to recognize that European greatness was grounded in obedience to Divine Law. And for ~20 years — say, 1947 to 1967 or so — there was a return to European Christianity to cover the cracks, in some semblance and form.

(With half the continent still run by murderous, oppressive secularists. Not exactly a good sign…)

But by ~1968, the shift from the Classical Greco-Roman lust for military conquest to the Classical Greco-Roman lust for sexual conquest was complete. And the superficial, top-down Christian band-aids were torn off, joyfully.

There was no return to Empire, no more Imperial Greatness, but no return to God or His Justice either. Just promiscuity and pleasure and safety, until the end comes.

There are many roads to the grave.

No one publishes theories about the hierarchy of races in mainstream science, anymore.

Then again, no one can get anything that reflects Incorrect Ideology published in mainstream science, anyways. “It’s not about True or False. It’s about Compliance to the Narrative.”

Christians will have to do better than the Atheists & Secularists do, consistently. Day after day, year after year, decade after decade.

We will have to make the way to the future, a future grounded in the truth and justice Our Betters openly despise.

[…] In any Darwinian scheme, someone must be the subhuman. If not the current lot (formerly, the “savages,” currently the Neanderthals and/or Homo erectus), who will it be?

If they aren’t found, the Darwinist is looking down the maw of some sort of creationism. It need not be theistic creationism. But it does mean that a momentous event happened with explicable swiftness, like the Big Bang or the origin of language, findings naturalists do not like precisely because of their creationist implications.

Uncommon Descent, In any Darwinian scheme, someone must be the subhuman. Otherwise, there is no beginning to human history.

Reality beckons… but the Darwinians don’t like the implications, so they will stay in the glorious 19th century, back when times were good for Europe.

Just like many American Christians pine for the 1950s.

I’d rather learn what I did wrong, and then repent of it. That’s how you grow, that’s how you learn.

The Future

Anybody who worked for me who claimed to be a Christian would not get any slack from me. Anyone who doesn’t understand that he represents his world-and-life view, and who is a slacker, shouldn’t get any slack in response. The more that you claim to represent a supernatural being or a superior moral authority than another employee represents, the better your performance should be. Don’t come back later and claim that you’re not doing any worse than somebody else. You have already positioned yourself as somebody who is trying to gain attraction for himself because you supposedly represent a higher authority than your employer does or other employees do.

If you say you represent a higher authority than the authorities who have recruited representatives who compete against you, you had better do a better job than they do.

If all of the people who claim to represent the true God or the true philosophy of life devoted their lives to proving the superior nature of their authority by performing better than representatives of other authorities, the world would be a better place. Honesty would go up. Predictability would go up. Output would go up. Everybody’s income would go up.

Here is what James taught.

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. (James 2:17-18)

Customers want predictability. When they come in to spend their money, they want somebody on duty who can take their money from them in exchange for good information and predictable products. Anybody who is not on duty at his assigned time is a flake. I would fire him.

Gary North, Punctuality, Contracts, and Representation

That is where the future lies.

Not in some European Secularist idea of Inherited Genetic Superiority.

(Stemming from Hindu beliefs of Inherited Spiritual Superiority, I strongly suspect).

And certainly not in the very sensual, very controlling nihilism that a gelded, broken-back and demilitarized Darwinism leads to.

But in the Mosaic — but really, Godly — vision of superior performance delivering superior rewards.

In time and on earth, as well as into eternity.
