Arise, O Lord! Confront him, subdue him!Psalm 17:13-14, English Standard Version
Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword,
from men by your hand, O Lord,
from men of the world whose portion is in this life.
You fill their womb with treasure;
they are satisfied with children,
and they leave their abundance to their infants.
Often, the righteous complain when God gives gifts and blessings to the wicked.
Personally, I would have been highly suspicious of those gifts: since God hates the unrepentant wicked, His gifts to them — be it money, power, children, land, or any other boon — is not for their benefit.
But the distant danger is discounted and dismissed, the immediate delights seen and desired.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Romans 12:19-21, English Standard Version
At their core, the gifts to evil men and demonic cultures are not to benefit them, but only to blind their eyes, increase their condemnation, and hasten their destruction… to the benefit of God and His people.
Note that the wicked of 3,000 years ago desired children. The wicked of today do not: the treasure the fills the womb and a future is shredded, and the remains disposed of.
And since it is God who directs and shapes the hearts of His enemies, it is obvious that He has increasingly little tolerance for their continued existence.
If Christians would grasp this simple point, and bear the children and raise them for the Lord instead of handing their treasures to their justifiably contemptuous enemies to teach and educate, Christians would with ease gain the victory in their nations in two generations, possibly one. (I.e. 80 years, possibly 40.)
Whenever Christians decide to value victory over free babysitting, then Christians will win – especially with the battlefield decisively tilted in their favour today (compared to 3,000 years ago).
Until then, Christians can swim in the Establishment contempt they have earned.
For God judges His quietly rebellious children, just as He judges his openly rebellious enemies.
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.Revelation 21:8, English Standard Version
Note especially that bit about the cowards and the faithless.
