From Florida seeks to withdraw from OSHA
By
Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

The lizard people are really not going to like what Ron DeSantis is up to now.

Among other things, he favors withdrawing Florida from OSHA and having the state itself in control of occupational safety and health issues.

The crazies are of course apoplectic about this, and the timid are saying he’s going too far.

But if we keep confining ourselves to the range of options that the New York Times allows us, how are we ever going to get anywhere?

In my 2010 book Nullification I went through the history of state resistance to unconstitutional federal laws. This history is not exactly given great emphasis — or even mentioned at all — in the history classes virtually all of us are subjected to, so I devoted fully half of that book to a relentless series of historical documents proving my points.

It’s a story of governors, state legislatures, and state supreme courts declaring it the responsibility of the state to protect its people against a lawless federal government.

That kind of sounds like an idea that bears resurrecting in 2021, does it not?

Jefferson’s argument for state nullification, given its classic formulation in the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, is stated simply enough: if the federal government is allowed to hold a monopoly on determining the extent of its own powers, we have no right to be surprised when it keeps discovering new ones.

In his Report of 1800, James Madison reminded Virginians and Americans at large that the judicial branch was not infallible, and that some remedy must be found for those cases in which all three branches of the federal government exceed their constitutional limits.

The states created the federal government and as a principal to the federal compact each state reserves the right — to quote Jefferson himself — to “judge for itself, as well of infractions [of the Constitution] as of the mode and measure of redress.” Otherwise, the federal government will expand without limit.

Here’s just one historical example:

New England was especially hard hit by the embargo of 1807 to 1809 because so many of its people were employed either directly in foreign commerce or in proximate fields, and it was there that opposition to the policy was concentrated. In 1808 a federal district court, in the case of United States v. The William, ruled the embargo constitutional.

The Massachusetts legislature begged to differ. Both houses declared the embargo acts to be “in many particulars, unjust, oppressive, and unconstitutional.” “While this State maintains its sovereignty and independence, all the citizens can find protection against outrage and injustice in the strong arm of the State government,” they said. The embargo, furthermore, was “not legally binding on the citizens of this State.”

In the midst of the crisis, a New York congressman said, “Why should not Massachusetts take the same stand, when she thinks herself about to be destroyed?” “If any State Legislature had believed the Act to be unconstitutional,” asked a Connecticut congressman, “would it not have been their duty not to comply?” He added that the state legislatures, “whose members are sworn to support the Constitution, may refuse assistance, aid or cooperation” if they regarded an act as unconstitutional, and so could state officials.

Connecticut governor Jonathan Trumbull shared these views. “Whenever our national legislature is led to overleap the prescribed bounds of their constitutional powers, on the State Legislatures, in great emergencies, devolves the arduous task — it is their right — it becomes their duty, to interpose their protecting shield between the right and liberty of the people, and the assumed power of the General Government.” Connecticut’s General Assembly passed a resolution that, among other things, directed all executive officials in the State not to afford “any official aid or co-operation in the execution of the act aforesaid.”

The General Assembly furthermore declared: “Resolved, that to preserve the Union, and support the Constitution of the United States, it becomes the duty of the Legislatures of the States, in such a crisis of affairs, vigilantly to watch over, and vigorously to maintain, the powers not delegated to the United States, but reserved to the States respectively, or to the people; and that a due regard to this duty, will not permit this Assembly to assist, or concur in giving effect to the aforesaid unconstitutional act, passed, to enforce the embargo.”

Rhode Island, when the embargo was at its end, declared that her legislature possessed the duty “to interpose for the purpose of protecting [the people of Rhode Island] from the ruinous inflictions of usurped and unconstitutional power.”

This is but a taste of the history we need to recover and indeed to emulate, especially during the extraordinary times we are living through today.

—<Quote ends>—

Right now, few people have even heard of nullification. And fewer still are interested, so long as the Federal bribes for compliance keeps on flowing in…and the mainstream media (including Google, Facebook, and Twitter) continues its control over public discussion and the Overton Window.

All this is going to change.

Christians should be grounding their faith in Christ, committing themselves to the expansion of His Kingdom, and getting ready to capitalize on the coming winds (hurricanes winds?) of change.

As opposed to huddling and hiding as usual, and oh-so-predictably crying out to Powerful Men to Bring Back the Old Order.

We should look to the future as THE area to conquer for Christ, and use our time and energy today to capitalize on the opportunities to come.

From COVID mania isn’t about health: Africa edition
by Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

A reader in west Africa writes to describe the unique kind of COVID shakedown going on in his country:

I have read the many stories you have passed along regarding the ridiculous COVID response in various places. So I thought I would tell you what I have experienced here in a certain country in West Africa, where I have spent most of the past 30 years serving God by serving the poor.

We returned to the States for my niece’s wedding in late February of 2020. We planned to be there for a month, but with the lockdowns it became impossible to return, and it wasn’t till late February of this year that we finally did.

In spite of the low COVID death count here, the government had issued orders that everyone must be masked while in public. As is usual, the laws are selectively applied. Most of the common folk were going around unmasked, and ignored by the authorities. But whoever the police or military think will be able to cough up cash is stopped and shaken down. So I got to enjoy some real “white privilege” thanks to my reluctance to wear the badge consistently.

The official fine for wanting to breathe was $5, but sometimes you could be pressured to pay more, to avoid being detained. (Note that the average daily income here is somewhere under $2.)

I was warned about roving trucks full of cops who “police” mask compliance. But one day I was caught off guard. I was walking down the street when I saw a pickup full of police approaching. I quickly donned my mask, but too late. They stopped me and started shouting that I had broken the law and had to pay $10. I apologized, telling them I had just forgotten to put it on, and pointed out that there many people walking on the street without masks. But they threatened to bodily toss me in the truck and haul me away. “Okay, here you go. Thanks so much and have a good day.” And they were off to find another mark.

A few days later a couple of somewhat more polite cops caught me again while I was shopping for produce in an outdoor market. They said I’d have to go pay the official fine unless I wanted to “arrange the situation.” I could have gotten off with a $2 gift to them. I said if I paid anything I would have to get a receipt, hoping they would give up and leave me alone. When they realized I wasn’t going to pay them off they took me to a police vehicle where a cop was writing tickets and handing out masks to their unfortunate victims.

Mind you, this was in the capital. In other areas of the country not even the police were wearing masks. Now, several months later, the same rule is in place, but it is not being enforced even in the capital, though some larger grocery stores, banks, and other places of business, and also healthcare facilities, ostensibly expect everyone to wear masks. Yet those who actually cover nose and mouth with their mask are few, including the employees and healthcare workers. Many are simply slung under the chin in a ridiculous display of semi-compliance.

Meanwhile, the pointlessness of all this was obliquely acknowledged yesterday by Gavin Newsom, governor of California, who said that the reason California’s numbers were going up was that “there is a seasonality to COVID.”

You don’t say!

But if all these interventions worked, couldn’t we offset that seasonality?

Or does the seasonality of COVID demonstrate, instead, that the virus just does its thing regardless of our dystopia?

—<Quote ends>—

It’s good to see that the ordinary African in West Africa have no time to be pushed around by government bullies.

(I bet the “standard” Black African know their neighbours, and I bet that they don’t trust their Noble Political Leadership. It’s good to have your neighbours and friends gather round and back you up, when you’re just a poor woman who has neither the time nor the money for elitist manic nonsense.

It makes me wonder which society actually demonstrates intelligence, and which society actually are ignorant sheep, fit only for fleecing and the slaughter.

Fear Ye the Lord… and NOT Powerful Men. Not even soldiers in a Third World nation with a weak grasp of the rules of laws, unfettered arbitrary power, and a love of bribes.)

The wiser and more opportunistic African governments should dump each and every COVID regulation, including the vaccine requirements, and bring in as many tourists as possible. Equal justice benefits the bottom line… and the top line as well!

From The blue staters’ explanation for their high case rate
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

I mentioned yesterday that Gavin Newsom, faced with a case rate twice as high as Florida’s, explained that “there is a seasonality to COVID.”

Now isn’t that something.

When Florida’s case rate was the higher one, Newsom couldn’t criticize the Florida governor enough. He didn’t mention seasonality.

So once again, when cases rise in red states, this is because the stupid hicks won’t follow the rules. But when they rise in blue states, well, we just don’t know what’s causing it!

Or, now, as the Florida governor’s press secretary describes the media response: Why, I guess it’s just COVID season in the blue states!

Incidentally, here’s how the Washington Post responded when Ron DeSantis tried explaining seasonality a few months ago:

Meanwhile, yesterday Congressman Thomas Massie wrote this:

From his lips to God’s ear.

From The geniuses are locking down again
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

Today someone shared this chart, generated by the Financial Times. Try to pick out which one of these countries hasn’t implemented a vaccine passport system:

I’ll bet you know which one it is.

Meanwhile, parts of Europe are going back into lockdown. Austria is locking down the one-third of the population that is unvaccinated. The Netherlands is 72% fully vaccinated and is going into lockdown for everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Wouldn’t it be nice if, instead of inanely blaming “the unvaccinated” for this, the robots on social media would at least admit that this isn’t how they expected it to go, and that there shouldn’t be this level of cases and deaths after the introduction of vaccines?

It’s like Sweden: we were supposed to believe that Sweden would have one of the worst death rates in the world because it ignored the so-called experts demanding lockdown. Well, Sweden is currently #53 in the world for COVID death rate. Number fifty-three. Not one. Not two. Not ten. Not twenty. Fifty-three.

The crazies are still criticizing Sweden, naturally. But my question is: when you were screaming hysterically at Sweden to lock down, did you think they’d end up all the way down at number 53 in the world in death rate? Aren’t you the least bit curious about that? Is there a chance that if we hadn’t wrecked societies it wouldn’t have made any difference anyway?

Same with Florida: did the hysterics expect them to have one of the better rates of age-adjusted COVID mortality in the United States? Of course not. They were warning that Florida would be one of the worst.

And yet in none of these cases can they bring themselves to say: thank goodness things turned out better than we predicted! Instead, they just double down.

—<Quote ends>—

By their utter lack of curiosity and interest in unpredicted outcomes and anomalous events — and their overwhelming preference to merely repeating Received Dogma — Our Betters demonstrate that this mania isn’t about science, no more than it is about health.

It’s all about control. Every last scrap of it.

“Money?” Man, I wish it was about money. Then you could just have the usual payoffs and bribes and high-level corruption, and be DONE with this costly incompetence.

No.

With THIS level of failure, a strong level of religious commitment, devoted piety and unwavering faith is demanded.

Not in God, obviously.

And as demonstrated above, not even in the scientific method. As an idol it would be worthless as well, but as a tool it would come in real handy just about now!

Nope: we are supposed to place out faith in the Government Public Health Leaders, and especially their mandates and controls and the destruction of the freedom of the Inferiors.

YOUR sacrifice is demanded
for the Salvation of the People!

What? No Salvation?

Then MORE SACRIFICE is demanded…
OBVIOUSLY.

For the Priesthood of Power
can Never be Wrong!

No matter how often they are wrong, how often they are disproved, and regardless of the mounting evidence against them.

Many, many Christians are in pain today, needlessly.

(And not just Christians, either! Injustice done to unbelievers is also evil!)

But it isn’t the Christian religion that is entering its death throes.

(But this is just the beginning of the rot, and the delegitimization of demonic authority. Wait till the Free Stuff — including the Free Medicine/Medical Care — bribes run out!)

From They just admitted what the passport system is for
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

You’ve probably seen a handful of people on social media say that vaccine passport systems make them “feel safe.”

You know and I know that these systems have nothing to do with health or safety.

Well, some authorities in Canada just admitted what you and I knew: the aim is to punish the unvaccinated.

The British Columbia Parks and Recreation department says: “Remember, the purpose of the PoV card is to incentivize residents to be vaccinated, not to control the spread of the virus.”

Then further: “This is an important shift to keep aware of for your decision-making; the province has shifted from actions that provide a COVID-safe environment to actions that provide discretionary services to the vaccinated.”

Patricia Daly, Chief Medical Health Officer for Vancouver Coastal Health, added:

“The vaccine passport requires people to be vaccinated to do certain discretionary activities such as go to restaurants, movies, gyms, not because these places are high risk. We are not actually seeing covid transmission in these settings.

“It really is to create an incentive to improve our vaccination coverage…. The vaccine passport is for non-essential opportunities, and it’s really to create an incentive to get higher vaccination rates.”

So even though cities and countries with these systems in place are doing no better than countries that don’t, that isn’t the point. The point, as I’ve said all along, is to punish.

—<Quote end>—

Collectivists don’t like it when we submit and obey a supernatural God.

They have a different god they think we should fear, and in whose pseudo-sacred name they are more than willing to inflict pain to insure Compliance and Fear.

“Why did God permit such idols to be raised up?

So that we can topple them.”

Who you fear is who you worship… something our enemies understand very, very well.

From Pro-Fauci state senator is unhappy with ol’ Woods
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

A state senator from Tennessee is very unhappy with your host here.

Heidi Campbell of the state’s 20th senatorial district responded to the email I sent out some time ago letting you know that the video of my 2000th episode event was up. I must have made some side remark about Dr. Fauci.

As you will see in what follows, she evidently thinks that public health bureaucrats take some class in college that teaches them how to balance lockdowns against collateral damage and therefore gives them the exclusive right to make judgments in this area.

There is no such class, obviously. Not to mention: lockdown was universally rejected by the public health literature before 2020.

(So “trust the experts” both when they tell you definitely not to do X, and then also trust them when suddenly and without evidence they demand you do X.)

Here is what she wrote to me:

The puerility of a grown man who has been given so much opportunity in life actively attacking a doctor who has tried to disseminate good public health messaging is really just embarrassing. I realize that you are the kind of person who does not listen and just speaks, but I encourage you to take some time to think about your value system and what you’re doing to make the world a better or worse place. If you’re honest with yourself I suspect you’ll find some areas where you might want to change some things.

When I received this message I was out with my kids, so I wasn’t in a position to draft the most eloquent of replies. But I did quickly dictate something into my phone:

If you’re [sic; error caused by the dictation function on my phone] concern is science, health, or the norms of civilization, I cannot imagine how you could be criticizing me, of all people.

What’s embarrassing is somebody who continues to make excuses for this man despite being embarrassingly wrong on schools (or are you telling me Europe was wrong?), predicts superspreader events that never occur, and has literally, and I mean literally, no explanation for why states without lockdown have better age-adjusted covid mortality.

Tell me, what is your explanation for that? I’d love to hear it. Andy Slavitt doesn’t know, either.

Oh, and put masks on 2-year-olds, even though there are literally no randomized control studies on this. And Europe doesn’t do it.

The results of this fiasco include literally millions of deaths in the developing world (according to the New York Times, there will be 2 million excess deaths from HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis because of the irrational panic), tens of thousands of premature cancer deaths, the decimation of people’s life savings and dreams, a huge loss in educational attainment, elderly people left completely isolated and begging for human contact, childhood poverty massively increased around the world, and on and on.

And as we can see by using scatterplots, there is absolutely no connection between the alleged mitigation efforts and health outcomes.

Infectious disease epidemiologists, as opposed to immunologists like Fauci, said from the beginning that the correct approach was to protect the vulnerable without shutting down society. That approach has been vindicated a million times over.

Believe it or not, the following was her reply. Not a word about childhood poverty or the devastation of the developing world or anything. Just this:

Amazing that you have this long-running podcast and (I’m sure) a significant number of listeners and your response to an email encouraging you to take some time for introspection begins with a contraction that was obviously intended to be a possessive adjective. Lord help us!

Now folks, I don’t pull out the “I have a Ph.D.” card pretty much ever, but I could not believe she was pretending that I must not know the difference between your and you’re, so it was a quick proxy. I said:

It’s dictation software. I hold a Ph.D. from Columbia University; I assure you I can write.

Anytime you care to share any answers to my questions, I’d love to hear them.

Her reply:

Informing people that you have a Ph.D. is never a good look- it just makes you seem insecure. I don’t need to answer those questions. 99.9% of the global public health community has already weighed in. I understand that you make money from spreading disinformation and it’s apparent that you lack the depth of character to have any misgivings about doing so. Inevitably it’s Veronica, Regina, and Amy who will suffer because of your actions. Your choice. Have a great weekend!

I guess she looked up my children’s names. She’s not even good at that: she left out Elizabeth and Sarah. My reply:

I was not boasting about the degree, as is clear from the context, but pointing out that your frivolous comment about the misuse of a word was obviously misguided.

What exactly have world authorities said about why there’s no difference between lockdown and no-lockdown places? Can you at least repeat their explanation for me? Does their explanation satisfy you?

Why is Sweden a distant #53 in death rate, without locking down? Sweden would be #43 out of 50 in terms of Covid deaths per capita were it a U.S. state. Were you expecting it to be #53? Seriously and honestly? If not, do you concede that perhaps the situation is a bit less comic-bookish than Salon has made it appear?

Why aren’t you the least bit curious about this?

I have five daughters, all of whom are critical thinkers, and none of whom would look at the present situation and make an appeal to authority. If you think 99.9% of health experts believe in lockdowns, you are shockingly misinformed. You cannot possibly be serious.

As soon as you can point out a single false statement I have made, I will retract it. But you’ll need to explain to me why I’m wrong, and not just tell me that some public health bureaucrat disagrees.

No response yet.

At every level we are governed by mediocrities like this.

She doesn’t have to answer my questions because “the authorities” have answered them. Oh, have they? Andy Slavitt had no idea what the answer was when the subject came up on MSNBC. He just said that “there’s so much of this virus that we think we understand, that we think we can predict, that’s just a little bit beyond our explanation.”

In other words, he has no answer.

Same with Dr. Fauci: when asked about the success of Texas, the best he could come up with was that maybe everyone was doing things outdoors now. In other words, an embarrassing non-answer.

We’ve ruined people’s lives and dreams with nothing to show for it and what we laughingly call our expert class has no answers for us — and our state senator here has no answer, either. She points me in the direction of Fauci and Slavitt, both of who admit they have no answer.

The complete lack of an answer does not make her curious at all.

Needless to say, she never entertains the forbidden thought that maybe none of it did any good.

Something tells me she has never had a thought that wasn’t safely within the range of opinion permitted to us by the New York Times.

What I’m trying to do, and what enrages our state senator, is broaden the range of allowable conversation, to say the things we’re all thinking. If at this point, after everything that’s happened — and particularly after all the huge events even before the vaccine rollout (so they can’t use that explanation) that resulted in no “superspreader” effect — people still think it all worked, they’re probably unreachable.

But some people are reachable, as we can see from the packed football stadiums and other events.

So not only am I not modifying my ways at the request of Senator Campbell, but to the contrary I’m actually going to use this opportunity to draw more people into my wicked inner circle, where thinking people who ask forbidden questions congregate and learn.

The fact that we are governed by people like Heidi Campbell, who think the American establishment is doing just a super job and would never dream of questioning it, is why I have a Tom Woods Show Elite in the first place.

From The myth behind the vaccine passports
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

I still come across people who think it’s some kind of conspiracy theory to say the vaccines don’t “stop the spread.”

But the head of the CDC has conceded this, and now (with the evidence too overwhelming to ignore) Dr. Fauci is conceding this, as well as waning effectiveness.

I am shocked at how many people don’t realize this, or who blindly accept the propaganda behind the vaccine passport system — that allowing the vaccinated to interact only with other vaccinated people will “stop the spread.”

What other explanation can there be for the chart below other than that the vaccines do not stop the spread? This is Iceland, one of the world’s most vaccinated countries, and where restrictions are now being reintroduced. (The orange line tracks vaccination rate.)

I’d also like to share this chart, courtesy of a friend:

He writes:

What can we learn from this graph?
– open schools don’t drive covid
– full football stadiums don’t drive covid
– lack of masking doesn’t drive covid
– no vax mandates don’t drive covid

What drives these curves?
1) we don’t fully know, 2) to the extent we do, regional seasonality appears to play the biggest role, and 3) possibly constrained by natural immunity.

Nothing new. Just another example of the experts being wrong about everything again.

Before we wrap up:

From Leaked docs say this government is ramping down the craziness
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

Our friend Ian Miller, who generates so many devastating charts, had rather an amusing comment about the one below.

Below is Gibraltar, the most vaccinated place on Earth. The vaccination rate is given as 100 percent.

Gibraltar has had only a handful of deaths from the very beginning, long before any vaccines existed.

But if you were still doubtful about whether the vaccines stopped transmission (and I had several people email me yesterday to tell me that their friends genuinely believe that the vaccines do this, or at least slow it significantly), here is Gibraltar. (The orange line tracks the vaccination rate.)

Commenting on this graph, Ian said: “I wonder if the like, one unvaccinated guy in the whole country is sitting there going, ‘how can this possibly be a pandemic of just me?!'”

A few other items:

* New York City is now banning the unvaccinated from public streets, at least on New Year’s Eve. You will need to show proof of vaccination to watch the ball drop.

Since the ACLU, after a long period of silence, wound up favoring vaccine passports as beneficial to liberty, it seems doubtful that we’ll hear from them on this.

* In the UK, the Daily Mail got a hold of leaked documents describing an Operation Rampdown, whereby the UK government will walk back its COVID response early in the new year.

Among the provisions, it would:

  • Axe the legal requirement for those who catch the virus to self-isolate for ten days;
  • Shut down the national ‘Test and Trace’ system, which identifies those who may have been exposed to the virus;
  • Focus the fight against Covid on tackling local outbreaks and protecting “highest risk settings,” such as care homes

We will no longer be prioritizing the previous objectives of breaking chains of transmission at all costs,” one document says.

Writes Robert Dingwall of Nottingham Trent University, former Government adviser: “I very much welcome the fact that people are planning for the end of the emergency and the restoration of everyday life. Treating Covid like any other respiratory infection should encourage people to dial down the fear and anxiety that have bedeviled the country for the past couple of years.”

* I was just interviewed for a docuseries called COVID Revealed, in which all the lunacy is collected in one place. It’s really devastating. I guarantee you will want to see it.

(Just to clarify: this is not the same thing as the documentary project by those filmmakers I had on my show; that will be coming soon.)

From Expert he is not: new book exposes Fauci’s mythological scientific acumen
By Jordan Schachtel

—<Quote begins>—

I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of Dr. Scott Atlas’s new book, “A Plague Upon Our House,” which comes out on December 7.

In reading the account from his tenure inside of the Trump Administration’s COVID response team, acting as something similar to 45’s “COVID czar,” I was repeatedly struck by the seeming lack of intellectual capacity possessed by Anthony Fauci. I have certainly heard the rumors and seen Fauci’s public persona on display, and in his book, Atlas removes all doubt about Anthony Fauci the man. He confirms the clear reality that Fauci is just not a very bright person.

[Please support Dr. Atlas and pre-order it on Amazon or your favorite physical or online bookstore.]

Like most career government bureaucrats, the routinely labeled “nation’s top infectious disease expert” does not live up to his corporate press and ruling class identity. Similar to his colleagues in Government Health, Fauci reveals himself as a midwit in his very best moments, but those moments do not occur in anything resembling a scientific proving ground. Rather, Fauci and his compatriots flourish in Washington, D.C. because they are masters of media manipulation and the federal government bureaucracy. According to Dr. Atlas, Fauci, routinely exposed his lack of intellectual capacity and scientific expertise.

In one such White House COVID-19 Task Force meeting, Atlas discloses that Fauci could not pronounce a medical term, while claiming that it was a proven and worrying symptom of COVID-19.

Atlas writes:

I politely listened as Dr. Fauci spoke about the study. He quickly jumped to what he often did—the alarmist interpretation of “how dangerous this virus is.” He then moved to other things “we don’t know,” speculating about potential problems from this virus. He then garbled out something that was almost unrecognizable. He had grossly mispronounced a medical term.

I leaned forward, struck by what I heard. I interrupted. “What did you just say?” He stopped immediately, frozen. No reply.

I repeated my question. “What did you just say? What are you trying to pronounce?” Fauci just looked at me. The room was silent. Then I said, “Are you trying to say encephalomyelitis?”

In another excerpt, Dr. Atlas discusses a revealing interaction with Dr Fauci regarding mask efficacy.

Fauci declared, “I have proof that masks work.”

Again I wondered, “Wasn’t that ‘the science’ six months ago, when they all advocated universal masks?” Fauci continued, without any charts or data, remarking on a comparison of two neighboring states, one with and the other without a mask mandate. The state with a mandate had a slightly earlier decline in cases per day.

I was not going to bother arguing at this point; it seemed futile.

It took a nonscientist to point out the lack of critical thinking. CMS Director Seema Verma interrupted. “Tony, you know that is not a valid comparison; those states have so many differences, in population, in urban versus rural counties, in demographics, in weather. There is no way to claim that difference is due to masks.”

Fauci had no reply.

As Dr. Atlas reveals time and time again, the real Anthony Fauci is a man whose real expertise comes in the form of navigating the Government Health bureaucracy. Yet he comes breathtakingly short in living up to the media and ruling class label as the “nation’s top infectious disease expert.” He appears unwilling or unable to think deeply about issues and policies that have had a devastating impact on American society.

The upcoming book is truly a no holds barred account from a hero of our time.

I recommend that you get the book in question: A Plague Upon Our House, by Dr. Scott Atlas.

From 90% vaxed country considers more restrictions
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

On my other email list today I shared this CNN headline: “The Definition of ‘Fully Vaccinated’ Is Changing to Three Covid-19 Doses.”

This comes two weeks after Ron DeSantis was “fact checked” for saying that this precise thing would happen.

Meanwhile, there are critics of the strategy of making vaccines the central weapon against the virus.

CNN recently summarized Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., as saying, “With so much yet to be learned about the virus, using vaccines as the main weapon against Covid-19 could lead to new variants.” “It has never been done before,” said Kennedy, “and it would really be an inappropriate public health strategy to do so.”

Wait, did I say that was Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.? My mistake. Those are the words, as reported by CNN, of Dr. David Nabarro, the World Health Organization’s special envoy for COVID-19.

That’s right — you’re evidently now allowed to say that making vaccination the primary means of combating the virus is “an inappropriate public health strategy.”

Meanwhile, it sure looks as if Austria is making vaccination its primary weapon, since it just announced that mandatory vaccination will be its policy beginning in February. The age requirement for the vaccine has not yet been determined, and exemptions will be given to those with medical reasons for declining, but they’re planning to go ahead with this.

Not to mention: Austria has just gone into its third lockdown.

I wonder how many times Europeans have to be locked down before they start wondering about how effective lockdowns are.

That’s just one of those questions it’s apparently considered rude to ask.

Here’s another such question:

Now that Michigan has a hospitalization rate five times that of Florida, can we expect the same media personalities who attack Ron DeSantis for every death in Florida to begin criticizing Gretchen Whitmer?

The question answers itself.

Here’s yet another such question:

With Ireland’s eligible population about 90% vaccinated, and with vaccine passports and indoor mask mandates, they’re still seeing an explosion in cases. They’re bringing restrictions back and could be in full lockdown by Christmas. Who is still thinking any of these are good ideas?

My reply:

At a completely random, utterly uninformed guess that nobody asked for, I’d peg the chance of an actual full-on political revolution in Europe at about 3% right now.

And rising.

From Last year vs. this year: these U.S. maps tell the whole story
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

I wasn’t planning to write today, and then I saw the maps below.

They pretty much say it all.

We’ve been lectured and scolded since March 2020. The spread of the virus is our fault, they say. If we’d just follow their “guidelines,” we’d be a lot better off.

And yet:

You see what this is, surely. It’s the COVID numbers in the United States, separated by a year.

Isn’t it an amazing coincidence that all the places where people happened to be “behaving badly” on November 19, 2020 just happen to be the same places where they were “behaving badly” on November 19, 2021?

The coincidence is so uncanny that it’s almost as if, I don’t know, it’s not a coincidence at all, and factors like seasonality might instead account for where the virus becomes especially pronounced.

Two quick things I’d like you to know about:

(1) Attention women, or men who’d like to surprise a woman in their lives with a thoughtful gift they’re not expecting. I like to support my listeners, and one of them, Janet Perry, just launched a membership site for stitchers of all skill levels.

It provides instruction, resources, monthly free projects, and more. It will help you be a better stitcher and give you lots of free source material to turn into your own original projects without the high cost and long delays of buying commercial needlepoint projects.

The site: ColorfulNeedlepoint.com

(2) For five years I’ve been counseling people to have one foot in a separate business they run at home from their computers in case the SHTF.

Well, this isn’t the exact form in which I expected the S to hit the F, but we are here all the same.

A business partner of mine, with whom I’ve created two information products over the past few years, held a closed-door event in Edinburgh some time ago in which he laid out every single step he’d taken from zero, when he was hating his life as an employee of ExxonMobil and running home during his lunch hour to work on his online side business, to today, when he’s wildly successful.

It cost thousands of smackers to attend that event. But he’s now (for an extremely brief window, and I mean extremely brief) offering the videos for a mere $9.95, and I figured my entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs would want to know.

If you have thought about trying not to rely on The Man (who is increasingly a lizard person) for your livelihood, then a mere ten smackers for these recordings isn’t exactly a princely sum.

I’ve loaded them up with a bunch of my own bonuses, too, featuring my own insights, that I throw in if you pick up the videos.

Current events have made the case better than I ever could for why you need an insurance policy against the crazed lunatics.

Well, here it is: http://www.tomwoods.com/fasttrack

From The war on the ‘unvaccinated’ is a desperate attempt to demonize and destroy the control group

Title: The war on the ‘unvaccinated’ is a desperate attempt to demonize and destroy the control group
Subtitle: The ruling class is very worried about non-compliant citizens.

I wanted to turn your attention to a side by side comparison map comparing the COVID pandemic of last year to this year. It is a true “photo is worth a million words” tweet from Rational Ground’s Woke Zombie:

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

The symmetry is indeed amazing. And the conclusion, after over 600 days of COVID Mania, could not be more clear.

Not a single “public health expert”-hailed mitigation or suppression measure, including the COVID shots, has done anything significant to solve the reality that lots of people get sick during their area’s annual respiratory season. This global war on a virus is going about as well as the War on Afghanistan went when it came to eliminating the Taliban.

The lockdowns failed to stop a virus.

The universal masking regime failed to stop a virus.

The millions and millions of societal restrictions and business closures failed to stop a virus.

And now it’s become pretty clear that the highly-touted “miracle”  mRNA shots are failing to stop a virus..

Instead of accepting this reality, world governments are doubling, tripling, and quadrupling down on the madness. Despite incredibly high compliance rates, with an estimated 7.5+ billion COVID shots delivered in arms, the mRNA “cure” has not lived up to its admittedly impossible to achieve standards.

In the span of 6 months, we went from:

“You’re not gonna get COVID if you have these vaccinations”

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

And  “vaccinated people don’t get the virus and don’t get sick”

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

And “all three vaccines are 100 percent effective against hospitalization and death”

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

To our current reality of another season of lockdowns, restrictions, and the usual, nonsensical “public health measures.”

7.5+ billion shots later, those of us who’ve followed the data closely have found out that all of the aforementioned statements, endorsed by the most renowned Government Health officials in the world, were complete nonsense. Weapons-grade nonsense. They were nowhere near remotely close to even representing a scintilla of truth.

Today we know that the shots serve as something akin to a potential 6-9 month prophylactic with unknown long term side effects. The expiring efficacy, which was best observed through first mover nations like Israel and Ireland, brought about the booster shot regime, but no recognition from world governments that the shots seem to be expiring. The boosters have been sold under this weird idea that you can get “extra protection,” even though you’ve been told you were already “fully vaccinated.”

Government Health officials and major pharmaceutical companies have leveraged these half truths, as part of a CYA campaign for elected officials, and a money grab for Pfizer, Moderna, and those interested in injecting 5 year olds with expiring experimental shots.

And the booster, which is the exact same formulation as the original shots, unsurprisingly seems to have the same lack of virus killing power as the first two shots.

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

But you and I, we’re not the majority here, sadly. Those of us who are thinking clearly about this issue are a growing coalition, but we still face an uphill battle.

World governments, with the assistance of Big Tech, have convinced the masses, without any legitimate evidence, that it’s the  “unvaccinated” who are responsible for our continuing COVID problem.

Check out the logic used by the leader of Austria, the first Western country to mandate COVID shots on the entire population.

“Increasing the vaccination rate — and I think we’re all in agreement on this — is our only way to break out of this vicious cycle of viral waves and lockdown discussions for good,” Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg, who has imposed a nationwide lockdown on his country, told the media this weekend. “We don’t want a fifth wave, we don’t want a sixth and seventh wave.”

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

Schallenberg is lying and he knows it. The shots will not prevent another wave of sickness. These “waves” are simply the reality of a seasonal respiratory effect that happens every single year. The global ruling class have been lying to the masses for a long time. They’d rather not admit to all of these sunk costs, so the political elite will continue to uphold the myth that the COVID shots are still some kind of magic bullet that they are not.

Those who did not comply from the beginning of COVID Mania serve to pose the biggest threat to the power of these maniacal politicians. That’s why they’re attacking us so ferociously. The political elite pretend as if they care about COVID, but it’s not the virus that is keeping them up at night. It’s those pesky individuals who refuse to bend the knee – those are the ones in the crosshairs. The control group is the biggest threat to the people in power. They simply can’t survive the political ramifications of a control group outperforming the citizens living under the weight of destructive COVID Mania mandates and societal edicts.

From He resisted the mandate, and paid a heavy price

If I write on a Sunday, I try to keep it brief.

Here’s something that may enrich your relaxing Sunday.

Some folks who say they read what I write — and I’m grateful to every last one of you who does — say they’ve never heard the Tom Woods Show.

Here’s your chance.

Sometimes I have an episode I know is outstanding and that everyone will love, but the topic is unusual or not everyone’s cup of tea. Yet I know if they listen, they’ll love it. The trick is getting them to listen.

Here’s a great example: episode #2001, one of the best I’ve done.

My guest is Broadway actor Clifton Duncan, whose resistance to the vaccine mandate in his profession has cost him dearly.

You may say: I’m not interested in the theater.

And this is just what I mean: whether you are or you aren’t, you will be moved and inspired — but also angered — by Clifton Duncan and his testimony and situation.

The feedback on this one has been beyond outstanding.

Please, if you’re relaxing around the house today, give this a listen; if you aren’t blown away, I owe you a Coke:

Also, please remember: I was just interviewed for a forthcoming docuseries called COVID Revealed, in which all the lunacy is collected in one place. It’s really devastating.

The various experts whose voices have been silenced will be heard.

I guarantee you will want to see it.

They are letting you watch it for free as long as you register in advance. I think I did a good job. But there isn’t much time left, so please register here: http://www.tomwoods.com/revealed

From The unvaxxed, demonized for no reason
By Tom Woods

—<Quote begins>—

“The unvaccinated” have become public enemy number one in record time.

They can be stigmatized, marginalized, and penalized at will.

People have been led to believe that they are in danger from the wicked unvaccinated.

Günter Kampf of the Institute of Hygiene and Environmental Medicine at the Greifswald University Hospital in Germany just fired back against this in the 200-year-old Lancet, one of the world’s most prominent medical journals.

He writes:

In the USA and Germany, high-level officials have used the term pandemic of the unvaccinated, suggesting that people who have been vaccinated are not relevant in the epidemiology of COVID-19. Officials’ use of this phrase might have encouraged one scientist to claim that “the unvaccinated threaten the vaccinated for COVID-19.”

But this view is far too simple.

There is increasing evidence that vaccinated individuals continue to have a relevant role in transmission. In Massachusetts, USA, a total of 469 new COVID-19 cases were detected during various events in July, 2021, and 346 (74%) of these cases were in people who were fully or partly vaccinated, 274 (79%) of whom were symptomatic. Cycle threshold values were similarly low between people who were fully vaccinated (median 22·8) and people who were unvaccinated, not fully vaccinated, or whose vaccination status was unknown (median 21·5), indicating a high viral load even among people who were fully vaccinated.

In the USA, a total of 10,262 COVID-19 cases were reported in vaccinated people by April 30, 2021, of whom 2725 (26·6%) were asymptomatic, 995 (9·7%) were hospitalized, and 160 (1·6%) died.

In Germany, 55·4% of symptomatic COVID-19 cases in patients aged 60 years or older were in fully vaccinated individuals, and this proportion is increasing each week. In Münster, Germany, new cases of COVID-19 occurred in at least 85 (22%) of 380 people who were fully vaccinated or who had recovered from COVID-19 and who attended a nightclub.

People who are vaccinated have a lower risk of severe disease but are still a relevant part of the pandemic. It is therefore wrong and dangerous to speak of a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Historically, both the USA and Germany have engendered negative experiences by stigmatizing parts of the population for their skin color or religion. I call on high-level officials and scientists to stop the inappropriate stigmatization of unvaccinated people, who include our patients, colleagues, and other fellow citizens, and to put extra effort into bringing society together.

In a separate submission, he wrote this:

“High COVID-19 vaccination rates were expected to reduce transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in populations by reducing the number of possible sources for transmission and thereby to reduce the burden of COVID-19 disease. Recent data, however, indicate that the epidemiological relevance of COVID-19 vaccinated individuals is increasing. In the UK it was described that secondary attack rates among household contacts exposed to fully vaccinated index cases was similar to household contacts exposed to unvaccinated index cases (25% for vaccinated vs 23% for unvaccinated). 12 of 31 infections in fully vaccinated household contacts (39%) arose from fully vaccinated epidemiologically linked index cases. Peak viral load did not differ by vaccination status or variant type. In Germany, the rate of symptomatic COVID-19 cases among the fully vaccinated (“breakthrough infections”) is reported weekly since 21. July 2021 and was 16.9% at that time among patients of 60 years and older.

“This proportion is increasing week by week and was 58.9% on 27 October 2021, providing clear evidence of the increasing relevance of the fully vaccinated as a possible source of transmission. A similar situation was described for the UK. Between week 39 and 42, a total of 100.160 COVID-19 cases were reported among citizens of 60 years or older. 89.821 occurred among the fully vaccinated (89.7%), 3.395 among the unvaccinated. One week before, the COVID-19 case rate per 100.000 was higher among the subgroup of the vaccinated compared to the subgroup of the unvaccinated in all age groups of 30 years or more. In Israel a nosocomial outbreak was reported involving 16 healthcare workers, 23 exposed patients and two family members. The source was a fully vaccinated COVID-19 patient. The vaccination rate was 96.2% among all exposed individuals (151 healthcare workers and 97 patients). Fourteen fully vaccinated patients became severely ill or died, the two unvaccinated patients developed mild disease. The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identifies four of the top five counties with the highest percentage of fully vaccinated population (99.9–84.3%) as “high” transmission counties.

“Many decisionmakers assume that the vaccinated can be excluded as a source of transmission. It appears to be grossly negligent to ignore the vaccinated population as a possible and relevant source of transmission when deciding about public health control measures.”

The truth is out there, folks. The tyrants don’t care, of course, but the public might.

—<Quote ends>—

In the Soviet Union, the beaten-down, relentlessly-lied to public didn’t care.

Until, one day, they did.

It isn’t going to take 70 years to break the chain of lies this time.

I doubt that it will take even seven years.

But the sooner you and I get hammering on those chains, the sooner they come off.

From Common, not rare: ‘breakthrough’ cases have become jailbreak cases
By Jordan Schachtel

—<Quote begins>—

With millions of Americans registering “breakthrough” cases of COVID-19, one thing has become clear: the Rapidly Changing Science is turning yesterday’s guarantees into today’s falsehoods. In no area is this more apparent than in examining COVID “breakthrough” cases.

There remains a heated debate about all aspects of the COVID shots. What is no longer debatable, however, is the idea that the mRNA shots provide a high level of long term protection against infection with COVID-19. This idea is now an old myth from the ancient past of 3 months ago.

“Breakthrough” cases have officially become jailbreak cases. You’re not alone if you’ve acquired COVID-19 post shots. You, your friends and family are not anomalies. Contrary to corporate press reporting and “public health expert” guarantees, you didn’t hit the wrong side of the lottery. Turns out, your situation is about as rare as a cloth mask littered on a city street. That is, not rare at all, but very common.

Nowhere is this reality more striking than in the hysterical, maniacal politicians locking down again in Europe, coupled with the notably absent COVID problems in Africa.

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

nd by examining the recent COVID-19 data here in the United States, it’s clear that the “protection” claims are rapidly disintegrating.

Check out this data point.

Connecticut, which is tied for the highest COVID shot compliance rate in the United States, is currently seeing the worst outbreak in all of the United States.

With 72% of the population labeled “fully vaccinated,” (and 83% of the state taking at least one dose) Connecticut has seen a 117% increase in COVID cases in the last two weeks.

Now check out this screenshot, updated as of Monday by The New York Times. The most “fully vaccinated” states are all seeing a major increase in COVID cases.

The “breakthrough” narrative is so dead and buried that The Times stopped reporting its vaxxed vs unvaxxed comparisons over two months ago, on September 4th. That’s probably because they can no longer nitpick data to support their preferred policy outcome (compulsory injections).

Moreover, here’s the numbers from the least compliant states. It is totally detached from anything having to do with mRNA shots. Just don’t conclude that this is a seasonal issue. The “public health experts” say seasonality isn’t real. Don’t believe your lying eyes:

Let’s go back in the time machine to… a little earlier this year, when we were promised the shots would stop the spread and even produce “herd immunity.”

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

Sadly, the much-hyped, once-promised as “miracle cure” COVID shots have not produced the long term infection blocking results claimed by the “public health expert” class and pharmaceutical companies that marketed them.

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

[Missing Twitter snip – Acrosss the Stars]

I can go on and on, but a full list of the fraudulent claims would take an entire year at this point.

The collapse of the “breakthrough” and “rare” claims should bring an end to the idea that vaccine passports have any basis in scientific reality. If they work so well, why can’t anyone demonstrate it with a single data point? Millions of Americans are testing positive for COVID-19 regardless of their compliance status. Of course, movement passports are morally objectionable, putting aside the fraudulent scientific merits. COVID mandates as a whole have proven to be nothing more than tyrannical control measures, utilized as a cudgel to force individuals to surrender their unalienable rights.

—<Quote ends>—

Our Betters HATE the idea of inalienable rights.

They much prefer the idea of “Rights that can be redefined, aggressively restricted, or disappeared at the whim of any bureaucrat, for any reason.”

The Administrative State in action, folks.
