Religion, Atheism, and Honesty

From Facebook & Instagram Censor Founding Father’s Quote on Freedom of Speech as “False Information” (WeLoveTrump.com)

Western Journal has more details on Wright’s dicscovery:

Post any of Paine’s religious quotes to Instagram and you’re not going to find yourself in a whit of trouble, one imagines.

Colin Wright, managing editor of conservative-leaning publication Quillette, managed to find one Paine quote the censors weren’t going to let fly, however: “He who dares not offend cannot be honest.”

That eight-word quote went against Instagram’s community guidelines due to it being false information, Wright said in a tweet on Sunday evening.

He quickly found he wasn’t alone:

Clearly Paine’s quotes on freedom make these tyrants nervous.

Let’s share a bunch of them:

Takeaway

The old school atheists, pounding the table about reason and liberty, have been dead and gone for a long, long time now.

That’s just to be expected, as the basis of reason and liberty is not in the hands of sophisticated men and their reason.

It’s in the hands of God, the Maker of Objective Reality… a concept that atheists detest.

First, the deity.

Then, the objective reality that presumes the existence of said deity.

No Power to God! All Power to Mankind!

But… Which men?

The Right Sort of Men, of course, with the Right Sort of Reasons!

But… Who gets to decide the Right Sort? What happens if you challenge the Mighty Men of Reason, who stands far above the diseased Christian superstition of law, justice, and truth beyond the reach of Powerful, Wealthy, Politically-connected Men?
